The Embassy celebrated the 66th Republic Day of India on January 26, 2015. Ambassador Shri Harsh K. Jain unfurled the national flag in the morning at the Embassy Residence. The unfurling of flag was followed by singing of national anthem, reading of President’s address to the nation on the eve of Republic Day by Ambassador and light refreshments. The ceremony was attended by Embassy officials and about twenty Indian nationals residing in Nur-Sultan.
Embassy hosted a reception in the evening. HE Mr. Vladimir Shkolnik, Minister of Energy of Republic of Kazakhstan attended the reception as the Chief Guest. H.E. Mr. Askar Musinov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs was the guest of honour. Around one hundred seventy five officials from the Kazakh Government, members of diplomatic community, representatives of political parties, academic institutions, think tanks, commercial organisations, journalists and prominent Indians attended the reception.
