Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates India's Longest Bridge

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated India's longest bridge, the 9.15 km longDhola-Sadiya Bridge, over the River Brahmaputra in Assam on 26th May, 2017. Thebridge will ensure 24X7 connectivity between the States of Assam and ArunachalPradesh, marking a major transformation from the ferry-based day-only connectivity,which collapses during floods. It will also reduce the distance between Assam andArunachal Pradesh by 165 km and the travel time by 5 hours. Addressing a publicmeeting at Dhola, Prime Minister Modi said that the bridge opens the door for large scale economic development of the North East.
