“Namaste India Festival - Divine India Presentation"

Embassy of India, Nur-Sultan organized two cultural performances of Indian classical music and dance (Sitar and Kathak) by an ICCR-sponsored cultural troupe led by renowned Sitar Maestro Pandit Prateek Chaudhuri and eminent Kathak danseuse Anupriya Mukherjee which visited Kazakhstan from April 2-4, 2015. 

The first performance was held at Kazakhstan University of Humanities and Law, Nur-Sultan on April 2. More than 200 students attended the performance.  The second performance was held at National Art Gallery, Nur-Sultan on April 3 where local government representatives, prominent Kazakh nationals, members of the diplomatic corps, dance and music lovers of Kazakhstan and other friends of India attended the show.  The troupe enthralled the audience with their captivating music and dance and received standing ovation. 

The Embassy acknowledges the support received from ONGC Videsh Ltd.; Tea Board of India; National Art Gallery and Kazakhstan National University of Humanities and Law, Nur-Sultan for arranging local hospitality for the group.
