KNOW INDIA PROGRAMME (KIP) 

 

The Embassy of India in Kazakhstan is pleased to announce the launch of the 85th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), which will be organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, from 06 to 27 January 2026.

2. The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 marks the second edition of the reimagined National Youth Festival, aligning with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. This initiative further strengthens India’s commitment to empowering youth, fostering global leadership, and building a future-ready generation inspired by India’s developmental aspirations.

3. The members of Indian Diaspora interested in the programme may submit their applications to the Embassy of India, Astana to Mr. Hoti Lal, First Secretary (Cons & Community) at email ID – counsellor.astana@mea.gov.in,  latest by 08 December 2025 for onward transmission to MEA. The prospective applicants are requested to send the duly filled Application Form, Educational Qualification Certificate, Passport, Passport sized  colored  photograph, PIO/OCI Card, etc. to the Embassy within the stipulated timeline.

4.    The Guidelines of the KIP, Application proforma, Flyers etc, are attached for kind reference and necessary action.  It may be noted that the participants are provided local hospitality e.g. boarding/lodging in budget hotels and internal transportation in India (including airport transfers) and the Embassy will arrange for return air tickets in respect of participants, however, 10% of total air fare has to be borne by the applicant, which need to be deposited in the Embassy’s account.  The visa will be issued by the Embassy on gratis basis. 

5. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) are not eligible to apply.
