September 11, 2025
Almaty, Kazakhstan

Your Excellencies, Amb Nagendra Prasad, Vaishali, Ayush Ministry,
Distinguished Guests, Esteemed Practitioners, Members of the Media,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

Al Salam Malek Kum, Salemetsiz be? Good morning to you all

It is both a privilege and a profound pleasure to be here with you today at the inaugural function of the Ayurveda and Organic Health Care Expo in the beautiful city of Almaty. On behalf of the Government and the people of India, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the participants at this visionary initiative that brings together the ancient wisdom of wellness and the modern pursuit of organic, sustainable living.

We gather in a country that, like India, boasts a rich tapestry of history, culture, and a deep, intrinsic connection to its natural heritage. The vast steppes of Kazakhstan have nurtured a tradition of natural remedies and a nomadic wisdom that understands balance and harmony with nature. It is this shared reverence for nature’s bounty that forms a perfect bridge between our two great countries.

Ayurveda a gift from India to the world is much more than a system of medicine; it is a 5,000-year-old philosophy of life. The word itself comes from Sanskrit: ‘Ayur’ meaning life, and ‘Veda’ meaning knowledge or science. It is, quite literally, the “Science of Life.”

At its core, Ayurveda teaches us that health is not merely the absence of disease, but a dynamic state of balance between the body, mind, spirit, and the environment. It empowers the individual, placing the keys to wellness in our own hands through mindful living, natural diet, and holistic practices. In our fast-paced modern world, where stress and lifestyle diseases are on the rise, the timeless principles of Ayurveda offer a sanctuary of sanity and sustainability. It promotes prevention over cure, advocating for a life in sync with nature’s rhythms.

This is no coincidence that this expo brilliantly pairs between Ayurveda and the Organic Healthcare movement. Ayurveda is, by its very definition, the original organic science. I

Ayurveda and Kazakh nomadic traditions, though originating in different parts of Asia, share deep commonalities rooted in living in harmony with nature, holistic well-being, and traditional healing. This synergy presents a tremendous opportunity for Indo-Kazakh collaboration. Kazakhstan’s pristine landscapes and fertile soil are ideal for cultivating high-quality, organic medicinal plants. Indian expertise in Ayurvedic research, manufacturing, and standardization can partner with Kazakh potential in herbal & medicinal plants and production. Together, we can create a corridor of wellness that not only serves our two nations but also can supply the vast Eurasian region with authentic, natural health products.

The presence of so many esteemed practitioners, businesses, and enthusiasts here today is a testament to the growing demand for holistic wellness in Kazakhstan. It is a signal that people are seeking alternatives that are natural, effective, and harmonious.

I am delighted to see several Indian companies and Ayurvedic experts here as participants. To my Kazakh brothers and sisters, these experts and practitioners are here not just to showcase products, but to build relationships, share knowledge, and learn from the wisdom of this land. This expo is a living example of our strengthening bilateral ties, moving beyond traditional sectors into the vital area of health and well-being.

In conclusion, I invite you all to explore the stalls, engage in the seminars, and experience the treatments offered here. Ask questions, taste the herbal concoctions, and feel the textures of natural wellness.

Let this Expo be the beginning of a deeper journey—a journey towards a healthier, more balanced life, inspired by the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and powered by the organic promise of Kazakhstan.

I wish you all a fruitful and enlightening experience.

Rakhmet and Spasiba.
