Welcome Remarks by Ambassador
Dinner hosted for the Higher Command Course Officers of Indian Army
(India House- 4th November 2025)

Namaskar, Vanakkam AlSalam Malik Kum, Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is my great pleasure to welcome the distinguished officers of the Higher Command Course of the Indian Army to India House this evening. We are deeply honoured to have among us some of the finest leaders of our armed forces men and women who represent the very best of India’s commitment to duty, discipline, and service to the nation.

The Indian Army has long stood as one of the strongest unifying forces of our nation, an institution that transcends region, language, and faith to embody the real spirit of India. As we welcome the distinguished officers of the Higher Command Course to India House in Astana, let us celebrate not only their professional excellence and leadership but also the enduring values that the Indian Army upholds, unity in diversity, integrity, and devotion to the nation.

Your visit to Kazakhstan is not only a reflection of the growing defence cooperation between our two countries but also a testament to the Indian Army’s vision of engaging with partners across regions to strengthen understanding and strategic ties. Kazakhstan is an important and reliable partner of India in Central Asia. Over the years, our defence collaboration including joint exercises, training exchanges, and institutional dialogues has strengthened mutual understanding and trust between our armed forces.

Your presence here not only reinforces these bonds but also offers an opportunity to learn from Kazakhstan’s evolving security landscape and to explore new avenues or cooperation in regional peace and stability. Here in Kazakhstan, India is held in high regard, whether in defence, culture, or people-to-people exchanges. I am confident that your visit will further deepen this bond.

I hope your visit will be both insightful and rewarding, and that it will contribute further to the growing friendship between India and Kazakhstan.

On behalf of the Embassy, I extend a very warm welcome and wish you all a fruitful and memorable stay in Kazakhstan.

Thank you.
